Buzzcocks – the obvious one to get is “Singles Going Steady”, which contains all the hits, as you can probably guess from the title. Then get the first album, “Another Music In A Different Kitchen”. Also worth a listen, if you can track it down, is their first ever release, the Martin Hannett-produced “Spiral Scratch” EP. This contains the only songs they recorded with Howard Devoto on vocals before he left to form Magazine.

Well, where do we start? Drummer is phenomenal, dancers are really good, the audience actually has people who can dance in it (unusually – ever seen ’70s TOTP?), it’s a fantastic song and a wonderful performance.

YouTube has many of these nuggets in. My biggest problem is trying not to fill the blog with them.

Amazing voice, of course, but did you check out the drumming? That guy was on fire! Also, the dancers were looking pretty exhausted by the end.

Hullo Paul,

I had this op on both knees back in the 80’s when the keyhole procedure was new-ish and not nearly as refined as it is now…I had been hobbling about on crutches in agony prior to ops…a week post-op I was walking with considerably less pain than pre-op and two weeks later had a bounce in my step, both times! So, it’s not too bad.
